Buddhism: My Daily Meditation for 03-28-07
We say, "In calmness there should be activity; ' in activity there should be calmness." Actually, they are the same thing; to say "calmness" or to say "activity" is just to express different interpretations of one fact. There is harmony in our activity, and where there is harmony there is calmness.

As I am just getting back to the dorms, from a brisk walk from some dress shops in Stevenson Ranch, and with that quote I am reminded of staying calm, and not to stress out, and not to sweat the small stuff. I can feel my face getting flushed tho, and I was wearing my purple and yellow scarf with a black wool jacket, in this brisk wind that annoyed me so. What a day indeed.
I have to say that 'my mission: wedding dress' isn't giving me results like I wish. I shall just keep looking, but I do need to hurry because a good seamstress needs a few weeks to make a unique dress that will definitely be one of kind. I do have another option and that is to order a dress from ebay that I just found and liked but I can't try it on. ack, what am I to do? I love the style of dress I found on ebay, but alas, trying it on is a no, and I really don't want to wait for a seamstress around here. I know if I order the ebay dress, I can always take it to a seamstress after it arrives.
Yeah. I think I will do that. I am in love with this black halter, gothic lolita dress, that I know I will wear again. For now, all I have to worry about is losing some weight, look for some hair styles, try waxing, and maybe get my nails done..yeah, I will just wait til June or so to do all that girly stuff, so I look somewhat presentable for a wedding..hehe. :)
As for the shopping goodies, I got myself a Yoga book, with pictures for three bucks, a healing handbook for six, some haribo strawberry and cream gummi candies from cost plus, and an awesome metal statue or two people embracing (aww!) at marshalls. I totally wanted a silver bowl with two handles for ten bucks on clearance, but I found the books instead, and those books I found might of better use to me right now. I also wanted to get a really cool black with white pattern waterproof bag for twenty five bucks, but I realized that I don't really need another bag, even tho I could of used it to carry the statue and books in on the walk back. hehe. Anyhow, I got Larry some licorice Altoids..his favorite. I know he loves em. And I hope he is having a good day. I know that he will love this little surprise I got for him. teehee! ;)
Oh, and I got three easter themed rubber duckies at cost plus for Adriana, and the twins. Yay for cute gifts! Man, I did have a successful shopping trip, despite being carless. Man, the wind is weird today. At least it's cool enough for a awesome scarf I made and a jacket. I am glad its not raining tho, cuz that would be utterly unbearable. Anyhow, I must go back to my goodies, and cooling down with some tangerine flavored green tea soda..mm!
